Program Overview:
Since the inception of the Mentorship program during the spring semester of 2014, our organization’s leadership has been striving to continually grow and develop the pairings of students and professionals as well as enhance the impact that the program has on the participants.
The program has consistently grown each year and we continue to explore various ways to streamline communication in addition to increasing value for everyone involved. Women in Business Leadership recognizes the significance that genuine mentorship and sponsorship can have in affecting the success and development of young, aspiring business professionals.
If you have any questions please contact Kailee Ransom, the VP of Mentorship at ransomk@bgsu.edu
Program Requirements:
Bi-weekly meetings/conversations.
Mentee will make initial contact with professional mentor.
Both parties, mentor and mentees, will set up and agree upon a call schedule (i.e. date, time of day, preferred way of meeting).
Pairings will hold at least one 30 minute meeting during each listed two week time frame.
Supplementary questions provided if needed.
At the conclusion of each meeting, a verification of the next phone conversation should be confirmed.
Additional meetings between pairings as schedules/timing allows.
The mentors are first come first serve. If you can't get into the program this semester, there is always next semester! I would recommend getting as early of a start as possible on your application, though. Before you sign up, check your schedule to make sure you have the time to commit to the program!
